What is the Taekwondo Open
The XIV Open de Taekwondo de la Comunitat Valenciana is a national competition organised by the Federación de Taekwondo de la Comunitat Valenciana (FTCV). In its fourteenth edition, the event takes place at Pavelló Font de Sant Lluís and brings together over 1,400 athletes from 100 clubs across Spain. Categories range from school age to senior, with both individual and team competitions.
Programme and participants
The event includes fights in 100 different categories, with a programme spanning four days. As ambassador for the Open, Joel González, gold medallist at the 2012 London Olympics and bronze at Rio 2016, will be participating. The competition is open to federated athletes, whose registration is managed through clubs affiliated with the FTCV.
Schedule and duration
The competition runs from 9 to 12 October 2026, with sessions from morning to late afternoon. Each day features multiple rounds of fights, exhibitions, and side activities. The venue remains open to the public throughout the scheduled hours.
Access and requirements
Entry for spectators is free and does not require prior registration. Athletes must be registered through their clubs affiliated with the FTCV. The pavilion’s capacity allows unrestricted public attendance.
