What is the 52 Super Series Valencia Sailing Week
The 52 Super Series Valencia Sailing Week is the fifth and final regatta of the international 52 Super Series circuit, considered the world reference championship in the TP52 class. This event brings together the best teams and high-performance sailors in identical monohulls, competing without handicaps to ensure fairness. The 2026 edition in Valencia will decide the absolute champion of the season, consolidating the city as a key venue in the international calendar.
In this competition, teams race along a marked course in the waters of La Marina de València, taking advantage of the area’s optimal wind and sea conditions. Participation is expected from 13 to 16 teams, representing 11 different nationalities, reinforcing the event’s global character.
Programme and competition format
The regatta will take place from 5 to 10 October 2026, with daily competition sessions where teams accumulate points based on their position in each race. The team with the lowest score at the end of the event will be crowned champion of the 2026 circuit.
The format includes several races per day, with a scoring system that rewards consistency and strategy. The TP52 monohulls, specifically designed for this circuit, stand out for their speed and manoeuvrability, ensuring a technical and thrilling spectacle.
Valencia as the capital of international sailing
This edition reinforces Spain’s—and particularly Valencia’s—role as a benchmark in high-level sailing. Four of the five events in the 2026 circuit take place in the country, with the finale at La Marina de València as the crowning moment. The event not only attracts the world’s best sailors but also fans and specialised media, establishing the city as a hub for competitive sailing.
