What is Esports al Barri
Esports al Barri is an initiative by the Fundación Deportiva Municipal that has been bringing free sports activities to Valencia’s neighbourhoods since 2020. The programme aims to promote physical activity among residents of all ages, with participatory events such as popular races, workshops and exhibitions. In this 2026 edition, Benimàmet will be the setting for a sports day open to the public.
Activities and schedule
The event will take place on 17 October 2026 at the Instalación Deportiva Elemental in Parque Lineal de Benimàmet, near C/Arquitecto Gilabert. While the full programme has not yet been released, previous editions have included:
- Popular races for different age groups.
- Sports workshops and exhibitions.
- Activities for schoolchildren and families.
The usual schedule for these events is from 11:00 to 13:00, with simultaneous activities across different areas of the park.
Participation and access
The event is open to all residents of Benimàmet and other neighbourhoods in Valencia. No prior registration is required for most activities, though some workshops or races may require on-site sign-up. Entry is free, and there is no capacity limit.
For more details on the programme, check the Fundación Deportiva Municipal website in the weeks leading up to the event.
