What is La X Nit del Circ Valencià
La X Nit del Circ Valencià is an annual event celebrating Valencian circus arts, promoted by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC) and the Associació de Professionals de Circ de la Comunitat Valenciana (APCCV). In its tenth edition, creator Raúl García directs a production that explores circus techniques and languages through individual and collective acts, performed by a cast of local artists. According to the organisers, the aim is "to give visibility to Valencian professionals and remind us that the circus is more alive than ever".
Who performs and what to expect
The show features circus artists from the Comunitat Valenciana, though the specific names of the cast have not been announced. Artistic direction is by Raúl García, known for his work in projects that blend contemporary circus and physical theatre. The acts combine traditional disciplines—such as acrobatics, juggling, and balancing—with innovative approaches, all from a local perspective. The confirmed duration is 1 hour, with no interval.
Access and requirements
The performance is accessible to all audiences, with no age restrictions. The show is adapted for people with reduced mobility, though it is not specified whether it includes subtitles or audio description. Admission is free, but it is advisable to check availability on the Teatre El Musical or IVC websites, as capacity is limited.
Dates and venues
The main event will take place on 27 November 2026 at 20:00 at Teatre El Musical in Valencia. Additionally, there will be two further performances outside the city: on 29 November at the Casa de Cultura in Picassent and on 6 December at the Teatro Astoria in Chiva.
