A Comedy About Family, Decisions, and Emotions
53 Sundays is the latest comedy by acclaimed director and playwright Cesc Gay, running at Valencia’s Teatro Olympia from 8 to 18 October 2026. Starring Julián López, Pepa Charro, Xavi Mira, and Candela Serrat, the play explores the tensions within a family when three siblings must decide what to do with their 86-year-old father, whose behaviour is becoming increasingly unpredictable. What starts as a rational family meeting quickly spirals into an emotional whirlwind of unresolved conflicts.
With set design by Alejandro Andújar and costumes by Marta Pell, the production promises a polished and engaging performance, perfect for an evening of theatre.
