Palestinian Cooking Workshop with Rasha: Recipes and Solidarity
On 25 September 2026 at 17:45, the restaurant Al Paladar (Carrer de Jaume Esteve Cubells, 5) will host a Palestinian cooking workshop led by Rasha, as part of the Cocina Sin Fronteras project. The event will be repeated on 16 October at the same time, combining culinary learning with a solidarity cause: once costs (around 40%) are covered, the proceeds will be donated to a Palestinian initiative or family proposed by Rasha herself.
What’s included in the workshop
During the session, participants will prepare traditional Palestinian dishes such as:
- Fatoush: a salad with toasted bread, vegetables, and spices.
- Maqlouba: rice with meat and vegetables, cooked upside down.
- Qatayef: a stuffed dessert, typical of celebrations.
The format is homely and participatory, with a tasting of the dishes at the end. The ticket price ranges from €30 to €49, and includes all ingredients and utensils needed.
Context and details
The workshop not only teaches recipes but also the stories and traditions behind each dish, linked to Palestinian culture. The space is provided by the restaurant Al Paladar, which collaborates with the initiative.
If you’re looking for a gastronomic activity with social impact, this is an opportunity to learn and contribute. For more information about the venue, check the Al Paladar profile.
