What’s Cooked in the Workshop
The Palestinian cooking workshop with Rasha teaches how to prepare four traditional dishes: falafel (chickpea croquettes), ful medames (broad bean salad), yelenji (grape leaves stuffed with rice), and orange cake. All dishes are made with organic, locally sourced ingredients, and vegan options are available. After preparation, participants enjoy a shared dinner.
Who Leads the Workshop and Its Purpose
Rasha, a Palestinian chef and member of Cocina Sin Fronteras, leads the workshop as part of a visibility and support project for refugees and migrants. The proceeds—after deducting costs (around 40%)—go to a project or family in Palestine, as proposed by Rasha. According to the organisation, the workshop aims to share recipes, personal stories, and cultural contexts while challenging stereotypes about the Palestinian community.
Schedule and Duration
The workshop starts at 17:45 and lasts approximately 3 hours, including dinner. The restaurant Al Paladar provides the space for the event, which has a limited capacity of 16 places.
Prices and Tickets
The workshop costs €48.50, covering the class, ingredients, dinner, and water. Other drinks are not included but can be purchased at the venue. Participants may choose to pay an additional amount to further support the cause. Tickets sell out quickly; the Cocina Sin Fronteras gift voucher allows gifting this or other workshops by the organisation.
