What’s on display
«La Mar de Emocions» presents 22 illustrations by Lola Muñoz created for the poetry book Cuando la mar s’alça by Laura Carrasco. Each artwork is accompanied by a QR code that lets visitors listen to the poems, immersing them in an aquatic universe where colour and words explore emotions like joy, fear, or calm. The exhibition is designed for all ages, blending visual art and spoken poetry in an accessible format.
Origin and context
The exhibition is part of the Cuando la mar s’alça project, an initiative linking culture and mental health through various disciplines. Alongside the illustrations, the project includes a book, an audiobook, and a ceramics exhibition previously shown at the Cabanyal Civic Centre. According to sources like Valencia City Council, the aim is to make emotional reflection accessible through participatory artistic formats.
Access and requirements
Admission is free and no prior booking is required. There are no age restrictions, though the content is aimed at families. The exhibition opens on 19 December 2026 at the Centre Cultural Escorxador in the Cabanyal-Canyamelar neighbourhood.
