What is «La mar de emociones: animación lectora»
«La mar de emociones: animación lectora» is a family workshop based on the book of the same name, led by Laura Carrasco Hernández. The activity combines poetry, rhymes, and interactive games to explore everyday emotions in a playful and sensory way. Each poem becomes a participatory game where the audience—children and adults—discovers feelings through rhyme and creativity. According to the Centre Cultural Escorxador’s programme, it is designed for families to dive into emotions with dynamics that mix reading, movement, and collective participation.
Who can take part
The workshop is aimed at families, with no specific age limit. It is free but requires prior registration by emailing escorxador.actividades@gmail.com or escorxadordelcabanyal@gmail.com, as indicated by the centre’s official sources. No maximum capacity or limited places are specified, but the Escorxador’s programme usually manages activities on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where and how to register
The event takes place at Centre Cultural Escorxador (Carrer de Sant Pere, 35-37, Valencia), a renovated space in the Cabanyal neighbourhood that hosts workshops, concerts, and cultural activities. To attend, registration by email before the event is required, as entry without a reservation is not permitted. The centre does not confirm whether there will be a waiting list if places sell out.
