What you’ll do in the workshop
The 16 Toneladas Ceramics Workshop invites families to discover how ceramic objects are made, from clay to finished piece. It’s a hands-on activity: the idea isn’t to watch someone else work, but to get your hands in the clay and experience the process firsthand.
A key part of the session is using the potter’s wheel, the spinning tool used to shape pieces like bowls or cups. According to the activity description, you’ll also learn "many more things" about ceramics, making this workshop a great first introduction to this craft.
Who it’s for
The 16 Toneladas Ceramics Workshop is designed as a family activity, so adults and children can share the experience of creating with their hands. It’s an ideal option for those looking for a different Sunday plan in Valencia, focused on creativity and manual work, or for families curious about how ceramic objects are made.
The session takes place on 8 November 2026 at 16 Toneladas, a space on Ricardo Micó street best known for its concert programming, which this time hosts a workshop.
Check how to get there on the 16 Toneladas venue page.
