A Classic Satire by Els Joglars in Valencia
From January 19 to 24, 2027, Teatro Olympia will host El retablo de las maravillas, a masterpiece by the legendary theatre company Els Joglars, directed and adapted by Albert Boadella. This comedy, inspired by Cervantes' classic, tells the story of a group of rogues who stage a fake show to swindle the city's rich and powerful, offering a sharp critique of social hypocrisy.
With a 65-year legacy, Els Joglars is the longest-running private theatre company in Europe, and this production celebrates their milestone with a stellar cast: Ramon Fontserè, Pilar Sáenz, Dolors Tuneu, Javier Villena, Bruno López-Linares, Rafa Blanca, and Pep Muñoz.
