What’s on stage
El gran sarau is an emerging theatre piece exploring the ethical conflict of Júlia and Manel, two former advertising colleagues who reunite to promote Horta d’Or, a real estate project threatening a Valencian market garden. Directed and performed by Victoria Avinyó and Andrés Giner, the play questions speculation disguised as progress and individual complicity in collective dispossession. According to La In.Conscient Teatre, the piece lasts 60 minutes and is performed in Valencian.
Cast and crew
The play is created and performed by Victoria Avinyó and Andrés Giner, who also handle the dramaturgy and direction. Production is by La In.Conscient Teatre, an emerging company linked to La Rambleta’s Emerging Theatre Showcase. On Friday 27 November, a public discussion will follow the performance as part of the Academia de Espectadores, an activity delving into the creative process.
