What is Eclipsi Total
Eclipsi Total is a production by Pont Flotant that concludes five years of international touring. The performance combines theatre, dance, and visual arts to recreate the experience of an eclipse: the moment when light vanishes and time seems to stand still. According to the company, the show aims to convey «the profound emotion of witnessing an incomprehensible event», with an aesthetic that evokes the darkness and silence before clarity returns.
The piece lasts 60 minutes without intermission and is recommended for all audiences. The sound design by Adolfo García and lighting by Marc Gonzalo (AII) complete a stage proposal that has toured venues worldwide.
Who performs and creates the production
The company Pont Flotant, founded in Valencia in 1996, is the creator and performer of Eclipsi Total. In this production, actors Àlex Cantó and Jesús Muñoz bring to life a text and choreography developed by the collective, which also includes Joan Collado and Pau Pons. The technical team features professionals such as Fermín Jiménez (artistic advisor) and Los Reyes del Mambo (scenography).
Pont Flotant is known for its multidisciplinary approach, integrating physical theatre, contemporary dance, and visual elements. This production marks the end of their five-year tour.
