What’s being performed
«Don Juan Tenorio» by José Zorrilla is the most staged work of Spanish Romantic theatre. La Extraña Compañía brings this version of the myth of the unscrupulous seducer to life—after a wager to conquer a novice and his rival’s fiancée, he falls deeply in love with doña Inés. The drama culminates in a supernatural finale where repentance and love redeem the protagonist.
