Teatro Rialto

Teatro Rialto is a public theatre of the Generalitat on Plaça de l'Ajuntament, run by the Institut Valencià de Cultura. It occupies the former auditorium of the Rialto cinema, in Cayetano Borso di Carminati's rationalist building, converted into a theatre in the late 1980s. It has some 390 seats arranged in a quarter circle and serves as a showcase for Valencian companies — theatre, dance, circus and puppetry, with a season subscription. The Filmoteca is in the same building.
