A Theatrical Tribute to Leoncio Badía
The 17th Juan Manuel Ferraro Amateur Theatre Showcase brings a moving production to L'Auditori de Torrent: Sparks in the Dark. This play, created by the Suc de Teatre - La Tarumba company from Alzira, recreates the story of Leoncio Badía, the gravedigger of Paterna who, after the Spanish Civil War, risked his life to help women say goodbye to their executed loved ones and preserve garments that would allow their future identification. Under the direction of José Antonio Martínez, the cast—featuring Jorge García, Elena Olmedo, Dalia Colomer, and others—brings to life a historical narrative filled with emotion and memory.
