The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía presents a unique opportunity on 15 April 2027 to delve into the secrets of Nixon in China, the groundbreaking opera by composer John Adams. The session will be led by Ramon Gener, a renowned music communicator and author of works such as Si Beethoven pudiera escucharme and El amor te hará inmortal. Gener, known for his ability to make classical music accessible, will unpack the historical and artistic aspects of this work, which premiered in 1987 and is based on the historic 1972 meeting between US President Richard Nixon and Chinese leader Mao Zedong.
The talk, part of Les Arts’ complementary activities cycle, will take place in the Aula Magistral of the venue. This space, designed for close encounters with the audience, offers a more intimate and participatory experience. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so it is advisable to check availability.
