What is being presented
La Repartidora will host the presentation of «Todas las ciudades están poseídas», an essay by Manuel Delgado published on 21 September 2026. The book questions how capitalism transforms cities into orderly and predictable spaces, ignoring their inherent diversity and conflict. Delgado, an anthropologist and professor at the University of Barcelona, addresses the tension between urban planning and the real lives of its inhabitants, offering a critical perspective on discourses that seek to "tame" the urban environment.
Who is taking part
The event will feature Manuel Delgado, the book’s author and a leading figure in urban anthropology. Delgado has published works such as El animal público and La ciudad mentirosa and regularly contributes to debates on public space and social movements. The presentation will be coordinated by the La Repartidora team, a space that has been promoting cultural and political activities in Benimaclet since 2015.
Format and access
The session follows La Repartidora’s monthly meeting model, combining collective readings with open debate. No prior registration is required, and entry is free, though the venue—a converted former warehouse—has limited capacity. The event will begin at 19:00, as per the space’s schedule.
