The work of Pepa L. Poquet at the Centre del Carme
The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània presents Trazar-Ordenar-Construir, the first retrospective dedicated to Pepa L. Poquet (Vilallonga de la Safor, 1955). The exhibition, curated by Antoni Pinent, spans her career from 1986 to the present, showcasing how her artistic practice has challenged the boundaries between disciplines, mediums, and technologies.
The exhibition occupies the Sala Ferreres and focuses on the idea that, for Poquet, the image is not a destination but a territory for exploration. Her work, which blends the analogue and digital without hierarchy, invites reflection on perception, memory, and experience through pieces ranging from photography and video to installations and drawings.
