What is Pas Ras al Port de València
Pas Ras al Port de València is the city’s oldest 10 km popular race, with 38 uninterrupted editions since 1988 (except in 2020). Organised by Club de Atletismo Poblats Marítims, it takes place on a completely flat course along Passeig de la Remor, certified by the Real Federación Española de Atletismo (RFEA), which validates times for federated runners.
Categories and races
The main event is the 10 km race, but the event also includes races for children:
- 500 m: for children aged 6 to 9.
- 1000 m: for ages 10 to 13.
- 1500 m: for young people aged 14 to 17.
There is also a specific category for port workers in the 10 km race.
Registration and requirements
Registrations are open on the event’s official website. There is no minimum age for the main race, but children must compete in their respective age categories. The course, running through port areas, offers a unique setting with sea views and the rotating bridge over the canal.
History and sponsors
Since its first edition in 1988, Pas Ras al Port has become a classic fixture in Valencia’s running calendar. It is supported by sponsors such as Ayuntamiento de València, Universitat Politècnica de València, and local companies like Marina Port.
