What is the Copa del Rey de Baloncesto 2027
The Copa del Rey de Baloncesto 2027 is the tournament featuring the eight highest-ranked teams from the Liga Endesa after the first half of the 2026-2027 season. Organised by the ACB, it takes place in Valencia from 18 to 21 February in a concentrated format: each match is a direct knockout, with quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final played over four days. València Basket, as the host team, has a guaranteed spot.
The Roig Arena, the main venue, hosts the decisive matches, while the Pavelló Font de Sant Lluís hosts parallel activities, such as the MiniCopa Endesa, a youth tournament featuring the academies of Liga Endesa clubs.
Teams and format
The tournament includes the top seven teams from the Liga Endesa at the end of the first half of the season, plus València Basket as the local team. The quarter-final pairings are drawn once the teams are confirmed, following a seeded system. All matches are single-elimination: the winner advances to the semi-finals and, subsequently, the final.
Side activities
In addition to the professional competition, the Copa del Rey features the MiniCopa Endesa, an event for youth categories that brings together young basketball talents from across Spain. This tournament, held at the Pavelló Font de Sant Lluís, is one of the highlights of grassroots basketball in Spain.
How to follow the tournament
Matches are broadcast on DAZN, which offers over 150 Liga Endesa 2026-2027 games for free with prior registration. The Fan Zone, located around the Roig Arena, provides free activities for fans during the event days.
