What is OptiOrange València
OptiOrange València 2027 is a sailing regatta for the Optimist class, the entry-level boat for school-age sailors, reaching its ninth edition in Valencia’s waters. Organised by Real Club Náutico de Valencia with the approval of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the event has grown in participation since its launch in 2018. This year, the goal is to gather 500 sailors, a figure already achieved in previous editions, with both national and international teams.
In addition to the competition, the organisers have planned onshore activities for the next generation of sailing talent.
Competition schedule
OptiOrange València 2027 features four days of racing. The qualifying rounds take place on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 March, with the final rounds on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 March. The regatta base is located at Real Club Náutico de Valencia.
Optimist Excellence Cup 2026-2027
OptiOrange València is the seventh and final event of the Optimist Excellence Cup 2026-2027, a circuit that includes stops in Vigo, Palma, Gran Canaria, El Puerto de Santa María, Torrevieja, Palamós, and Valencia. The Valencia event will decide the final standings of the circuit.
