What’s being screened
The film «Nuestra Tierra» (2011-2018), directed by Lucrecia Martel, addresses the 2009 murder of Indigenous leader Javier Chocobar, a crime captured on video that sparked nine years of protests and a judicial process. Martel, one of the most critical voices in contemporary cinema, combines community testimonies, photographs, and courtroom footage to explore colonial history and land dispossession in Argentina. The screening at IVAM is one of the few opportunities to see this work in Spain, given its limited exhibition history.
