What the concert offers
Mar Pujol, a Valencian singer-songwriter, presents a concert in duet format alongside Bruna González on cello. Her musical proposal blends folk and singer-songwriter in Catalan, with lyrics exploring intimacy and identity. The live performance is characterised by the fusion of voice, guitar, and cello, creating an acoustic and intimate atmosphere. According to Acció Cultural del País Valencià (ACPV), this cycle aims to showcase the sonic diversity of women artists, and Pujol fits this vision with her personal and minimalist repertoire.
Who is performing
Mar Pujol is one of six artists selected for the sixth edition of Amb veu de dona, a cycle organised by ACPV since 2021. She will be accompanied on stage by Bruna González on cello, an instrument that adds depth and nuances to the songs. The cycle, held at Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània, brings together proposals ranging from jazz to electronic music, but Pujol stands out for her focus on singer-songwriter, with influences from Mediterranean folk.
Context of the cycle
Amb veu de dona was created to address gender inequality in music scenes. This edition, running from September to December 2026, features artists from diverse backgrounds and styles, all of them women. Pujol’s concert is one of the key events, scheduled for 27 November at 19:30 in the Octubre CCC auditorium.
