What is Llibreries Fest 2026
Llibreries Fest 2026 is a literary festival that transforms 41 bookshops associated with the Gremi de Llibrers de València into spaces for engaging with reading. From 6 to 11 November, these bookshops will host workshops, storytelling sessions, book presentations and activities for all ages, organised by the participating bookshops themselves.
Programme and activities
The festival does not publish a unified programme, but sources confirm that each bookshop designs its own activities. Previous editions have included creative writing workshops, children’s storytelling, author meet-ups and new book launches. Some bookshops also organise book signings or open reading clubs.
Who can take part
Activities are aimed at all audiences, from children to adults. No minimum age is specified for any activity, though children’s workshops are typically designed for ages 3 or 4 and up. Entry to all activities is free, though some may require advance registration at the respective bookshop.
Where it takes place
The festival is held in 41 independent bookshops in Valencia, all associated with the Gremi de Llibrers. Each bookshop announces its own programme on its social media or in-store. There is no central venue: the event takes place across neighbourhoods, with proposals reflecting the diversity of each space.
