What the talk will analyse
The Arte y Pensamiento cycle hosts the presentation of the essay «Las invasiones bárbaras. Un viaje por las crisis que están sacudiendo el mundo» (Debate Publishers) by Claudi Pérez. The book reviews key events since the turn of the millennium—economic crises, pandemics, geopolitical conflicts, and social changes—to offer insights into the near future. The session, part of the bookshop’s ENCUENTROS series, will last 90 minutes and combine the author’s presentation with a dialogue moderated by journalist Paco Cerdá.
Who is taking part
Claudi Pérez, Economics editor at El País and author of works such as «El crash. Cómo llegamos hasta aquí y por qué no hemos aprendido nada» (2018), will discuss his latest book, published in 2025. Paco Cerdá, contributor to Jot Down and Valencia Plaza, will guide the conversation. According to the bookshop’s programme, the format prioritises debate with the audience after the initial presentation.
