Painting, thread, and time as material
La velocidad de un árbol is the first solo exhibition by Mónica Jover Calvo (Alcoi, 1973) in the Main Hall of Shiras Galería. Inaugurated on 19 September 2026 as part of Abierto Valencia, the exhibition brings together 15 works and a central installation that explore time from a physical and unhurried perspective. Jover uses painting, fabric, and manual techniques to turn the creative process into an exercise in observation and permanence, where the repetition of gestures takes on its own meaning.

The exhibition is part of the Abierto Valencia 2026 programme, an event celebrating contemporary art in the city.
