What the workshop covers
The workshop «Dibujo de la intimidad» explores how to represent emotional and bodily experiences through drawing, colour and various artistic techniques. According to the organisers, the aim is not academic representation but to develop a personal visual language based on expressiveness, experimentation and intuition. Three key areas are addressed:
- Gesture and expression: focusing on distortion, movement and the weight of figures to convey emotions like closeness, tenderness or vulnerability, prioritising the energy of postures over realism.
- Colour and emotion: experimenting with contrasts, harmonies and chromatic relationships to build atmospheres, combining colour theory with personal intuition.
- Mixed techniques: using pencil (for line and detail), watercolour (transparency and fluidity) and tempera (blocks of colour and texture), combining them to discover their expressive possibilities.
Who it’s for
Aimed at anyone interested in drawing—from beginners to experienced artists—who wants to explore intimacy as a theme and develop their own visual voice. No prior art training is required, but a willingness to experiment with materials and techniques outside the academic realm is essential. The focus on emotion and gesture makes it particularly useful for those looking to connect their artistic practice with personal and relational aspects.
Materials and dynamics
The workshop provides basic materials (pencils, watercolours, temperas and supports), though participants are encouraged to bring their own tools if they wish. The session alternates between guided exercises—using visual references as a starting point—and time for free creation, fostering intuition and individual exploration. The goal is not a specific outcome but a process of discovery.
