What will be analysed in the session
The «Imaginar el fin» session of the Arte y Pensamiento cycle explores how philosophy, literature, and contemporary thought represent endings—of civilisations, systems, or narratives—and their possible futures. According to the bookshop, the event is part of the «Pensar y no caer» reading club, coordinated by Francisco Benedito, and proposes a dialogue between philosophical texts and literary works addressing apocalyptic scenarios, ecological collapses, or failed utopias.
Who is taking part
Philosopher and essayist Eudald Espluga—author of works such as «No seas tú mismo» (Paidós, 2021) and contributor to media outlets like El País and CTXT—will guide the conversation. Espluga, specialising in critical theory and contemporary culture, has analysed in his work the relationship between technology, subjectivity, and civilisational crises. The introduction will be given by Francisco Benedito, founder of the reading club.
Timing and access
The session will take place on 25 November 2026 from 18:00 to 20:30 at Llibreria Ramon Llull. Entry is free, though capacity is limited.
