What is the «No hi ha color!» workshop?
The family workshop «No hi ha color!» is a danced journey through the IVAM that invites participants to discover the museum’s artworks through light, color, and movement. Aimed at families, it explores how perception shifts with position, shadow, or angle, culminating in the creation of a collective improvised piece. Each session transforms the museum space into a living canvas, where participants interact with the exhibitions through dance.
Who leads the workshop
The workshop is guided by choreographers and performers Marta García Navarro (graduated in Psychology and Contemporary Dance) and Paula Romero Raga (dancer and choreographer). Both combine their experience with companies like Lola Boreal or La Coja Dansa with a pedagogical approach: they use movement as a tool to forge connections and reflect on art. Their proposal blends improvisation with cultural mediation, adapting to the IVAM’s artworks in each edition.
How the public participates
The workshop is designed for children and adults, with no age limit. No prior dance experience is required: the activities start with games focused on perception (light, shadow, color) and interaction with the museum’s pieces. The session ends with a collective creation where movement and the IVAM’s space take center stage. Each of the three scheduled sessions will produce a unique piece, inspired by the museum’s temporary or permanent exhibitions.
Access and requirements
Check how to get there on the IVAM (Institut Valencià d'Art Modern) venue page. It is not specified whether booking is required or if entry is free, but as it is a family workshop in a museum, it is advisable to verify availability on the IVAM’s website or at the ticket office on the day of the event.
