What these sessions are
"De los Montes de Chiva a L’Albufera: understanding the basin that connects us" is a participatory initiative aiming to analyse the environmental and social challenges of the river basin linking the Sierra de Chiva to the L’Albufera wetland. Organised by the Plataforma para el Estudio y Conservación de la Sierra de Chiva, Acció Ecologista-Agró, and the town councils of Chiva and Catarroja, it proposes a joint perspective on this territory, emphasising that its problems and opportunities cannot be addressed in isolation.
Programme and activities
The sessions take place across three locations, following the natural flow of water:
- 31 October: Talk-debate at Teatro Astoria in Chiva.
- 14 November: Interpretive hike in the Sierra de Chiva.
- 28 November: Closing event in Catarroja and the L’Albufera area, featuring workshops and roundtable discussions open to the general public.
Who it’s for
The event is designed for the general public, social collectives, educational centres, and organisations from the involved municipalities. No prior registration is required, and it is free to attend.
