An exhibition on the threshold of light and shadow
Set Espai d’Art hosts «Claro de luz sombra», a joint project by Luciana Novo (Córdoba, Argentina) and Javier Palacios (Jerez de la Frontera, Spain), created remotely and installed as an immersive display that blends their works into a "revealing threshold". Curated for Abierto Valencia 2026, the exhibition explores that fleeting moment when light breaks into darkness, halting time and blurring symbols. Through ceramic pieces, meticulous paintings, ancestral abstractions, and representations of heroes and animals in transition, the artists craft a suspended atmosphere where twilight hues and warm accents evoke a fragment of an expanding cosmos.
The dialogue between two perspectives
Luciana Novo and Javier Palacios work from a distance to create a visual narrative that delves into the uncertainty of forms and the fantasy of the transitory. Though personal, their works converse in the gallery as if part of the same story: sculpted clay meets detailed pictorial exercises, and natural references coexist with abstractions that hark back to the ancestral. The result is an exhibition that invites viewers to linger over nuances, where each piece seems to emerge from a crack between light and shadow.
Dates and access
The exhibition opens on 19 September 2026 as part of Abierto Valencia, the annual event that kicks off the exhibition season in galleries across the Valencian Community. It will remain open until 14 November 2026, with free admission. No booking is required.
