Cines Lys stands on Passeig de Russafa, a minute from the city hall square. The first Lys opened in 1953 and burned down in an arson attack in March 1989; the current fourteen-screen multiplex opened in June 2001. Alongside new releases it runs cycles: classic reissues, horror, opera and ballet, anime, and blind sessions where the film is not announced.
