What Traktorlesbe proposes
Traktorlesbe is a dance performance created and performed by Paula Pachón, exploring lesbophobic slurs as artistic material. The work takes its title from a pejorative Norwegian term—"tractor-lesbian"—and turns it into an act of reclamation: gestures, objects, and wordplay repurpose offensive language directed at the body. According to the artist, the process draws from a quote by Samantha Hudson ("I’m a travelo for those who don’t speak English") and aims to transform harm into pleasure, threat into solidarity, through movement and irony.
