What is Tómbola
Tómbola is a live comedy monologue written and performed by Irene Ramírez. The show takes audiences on a journey into the artist’s hyperactive, whimsical, and unpredictable mind—where nothing is too important, almost everything feels potentially dangerous, and, as the author puts it, «everything shines too much». Through seven distinct personalities, Ramírez delves into the pitfalls, triumphs, fears, desires, and memories of a provincial millennial teetering on the edge of 30, ready to leap with a parachute «weighed down by kilos of glitter».
Who’s performing
The sole performer is Irene Ramírez, the creator of the text and the star of the monologue. The show’s duration isn’t specified, nor is it clear whether there’s any interaction with the audience.
