What bands are playing
Rotonda Bonsai + Penalti is a double concert featuring two Valencian groups influenced by 80s synth-pop and dance-punk. Rotonda Bonsai, formed during the pandemic, combines energetic riffs and lyrics drawing from post-punk revival and the Spanish indie scene. Their debut EP, Un lugar a medias, captures these influences in a high-energy live set.
Penalti, made up of Adrián, Álvaro, Alejandro, and Andrés, embraces dance as a response to a world that "makes no sense anymore." Their sound fuses 80s synth-pop with contemporary dance-punk, inspired by bands like Talking Heads, Alaska y Dinarama, Viagra Boys, and LCD Soundsystem.
What to expect from the concert
Both bands will share the stage to perform tracks from their latest releases, including songs from Un lugar a medias (Rotonda Bonsai) and dancefloor-ready tunes (Penalti). The format is a continuous double concert with no break between sets, perfect for fans of retro-tinged dance music.
