What’s being performed
The recital "Reminiscencias" by Noelia Rodiles presents a piano programme that bridges past and present. The pianist performs Moments musicaux by Franz Schubert, six brief pieces capturing the essence of early Romanticism. This is followed by Idyll and Abyss by Jörg Widmann, a contemporary work reinterpreting Schubert through six charged reminiscences of tension and lyricism. Laura Vega contributes Homenajes, a piece that, according to the Palau, connects with the Beethovenian tradition. The concert concludes with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 31 in A-flat major, Op. 110, one of his final sonatas, written in 1821 and considered a synthesis of his musical language.
