What is being presented
«niña garganta» is the new poetry collection by Sol C. Medina, which the author will present at La Rossa bookshop in Valencia on Saturday, November 7 at 12:00 PM. The poet herself announced on her social media at the end of October that she had already received all copies of the book.
According to the bookshop, the collection explores poetry as both survival and massacre: a writing that oscillates between truce and dissection. Its pages weave through a civil war, a legacy of violence disguised as sighs and ailments, and a long series of psychiatric reports. The book seeks to engage with the silence that fuels oblivion, condensed into images like the girl, the wall, the wedding ring, and pills in the throat.
Who is taking part
The presentation of «niña garganta» will be led by Sol C. Medina, whom La Rossa welcomes as a friend of the house, and by illustrator Paloma Huete García, who is also a poet. The event thus brings together two perspectives on the book: that of the author of the texts and that of a creator who works with both word and image.
Where it takes place
The presentation will be held at La Rossa, a bookshop located at Calle Murta, 6, Valencia, which hosts author meet-ups and poetry presentations like this one in its space.
