What’s being performed
«Napoli inedita» is the sixth concert in the Cambra al Palau series, dedicated to Neapolitan Baroque music. The programme includes works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Domenico Sarri, Giuseppe Vignola, and Leonardo Vinci, key composers of 18th-century Naples. According to the Palau de la Música, the repertoire explores lesser-known pieces by these composers, focusing on the vocal and instrumental expressiveness characteristic of the Neapolitan school.
Who’s performing
The concert features three specialists in early music:
- Alicia Amo (soprano), renowned for her work in Baroque opera and classical repertoire.
- Xavier Sabata (countertenor), with an international career in roles by Händel and Vivaldi.
- Ignacio Prego (harpsichord, organ, and artistic direction), founder of the ensemble TIENTO NUOVO, dedicated to reviving historical scores.
The small, chamber-sized ensemble ensures an intimate and detailed sound, perfectly suited to the Sala Rodrigo.
Schedule and duration
The concert begins at 19:30 on 10 December 2026. While the exact duration isn’t specified in the Palau’s programme, chamber concerts in this series typically last between 70 and 90 minutes without an interval.
