What is Nacra Cup València 2026
The Nacra Cup València 2026 is the first edition of this international Olympic sailing trophy held in Valencia, organised by the Real Club Náutico de Valencia (RCNV). The competition brings together 24 teams from the Nacra 17 class, a mixed double-handed dinghy included in the Olympic programme since Rio 2016. According to the RCNV, the event will feature sailors from 17 countries —Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Spain, United States, Finland, France, Great Britain, Greece, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey— and will take place in the waters of Valencia’s port over four days.
Competition programme and format
Nacra Cup València 2026 includes 11 races spread over four days (21 to 24 October), where consistency and tactical decisions will be key to reaching the podium. Each race combines speed, technical skill and coordination between the two crew members, characteristics that make the Nacra 17 one of the most spectacular classes in the Olympic circuit. The event will not only serve as preparation for future international competitions but will also put Valencia in the spotlight of Olympic sailing during its celebration.
Access and requirements
The event takes place at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, a private sports association. Entry to the competition areas is free and open to the public, although access to certain club areas —such as stands or VIP zones— may be restricted to members or guests. No minimum age is specified for attendance, but it is recommended to check the venue’s rules if attending with children.
