What we’ll hear at the concert
Laura Katze performs live the songs from her debut EP, «Un año dormida», an intimate and dreamlike pop record born within the four walls of her bedroom. The five tracks on the EP—produced by Harto Rodríguez—explore the monotony and hidden beauty of everyday life: wilted flowers no one throws away, days hidden in a village, or animals crossing a road at night. The result is a spell on loop, as Islas de Robinson (RNE) described it, where the seemingly simple becomes hypnotic.
Who is Laura Katze
The Valencian artist, whose identity remains mysterious, wrote this EP during a year marked by depression, when her bed became her only safe space. Far from dwelling on drama, her lyrics turn sadness into surrealism: dolphins in public swimming pools, silver mermaids, or imaginary conversations with Zac Efron during High School Musical rehearsals. As she puts it, «the more monotonous and sad my waking life was, the more adventurous and surreal my dream life became.» The project features collaborations with Teo Planell and Roy Borland in production, recorded at El Royale.
