What is «Las Ganchilleras Luchadoras de La Reina»
«Las Ganchilleras Luchadoras de La Reina» is a scenic collective creation workshop concluding its third edition with a public showcase. The project, aimed at women from the Cabanyal-Canyamelar neighbourhood, transforms workshop experiences into a «book you can touch», structured in three parts: memory as a guiding thread, the present as a space for action, and the future as a horizon. According to the organisers, Emilia Heredia and Donatella Donato, the goal is to weave personal and collective stories through scenic and narrative dynamics.
Who leads the workshop
The workshop is led by Emilia Heredia Pisa and Donatella Donato, artists with experience in community projects and performing arts. Heredia, linked to the company Kancaneo Teatro, and Donato, trained in dance and performance, design sessions that combine improvisation, movement, and reflection. Both are also responsible for other regular workshops at the Centre Cultural La Reina 121, such as ImproSàvies and Dancing Queen.
Access and requirements
The activity is free and open to women aged 16 and over. To attend the final showcase on 22 October, prior registration is required by emailing cclareina121@gmail.com, as capacity is limited. The regular workshop sessions—held on Thursdays 11, 18, and 25 September at 12:00—also require advance registration.
