Who are Fruit Tones
Fruit Tones is a garage punk ’n’ roll band from Manchester, formed by Tom Harrison (vocals and guitar), Tomas Walmsley (drums), and CJ Wood (bass). With three albums under their belt, they stand out for their raw, unpolished sound, defined by distorted riffs, pub rock energy, and a honky-tonk groove that echoes legends like Chuck Berry or Dr. Feelgood. Their music, recorded in an old cotton factory and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring), blends everyday lyrics—from heists to heartbreaks—with infectious melodies and a DIY ethos that shuns commercialism.
What they’ll play in Valencia
The 2 November gig at 16 Toneladas will showcase «Easy Peelers», their third album, released by Alien Snatch! Records (Berlin) and Sour Grapes Records (Manchester). Described as an "ultra-direct garage punk ’n’ roll explosion," the record turns mundane stories into revitalising anthems, with nods to primitive country and blues. According to the band, it’s "music to live by," with no empty promises but a guarantee to leave "your cha-cha shoes soaked" in energy.
