What is Deep Forest
Deep Forest is a musical project created by French composer Eric Mouquet in the early 1990s. Winner of a Grammy in 1996, the project revolutionised electronic music by blending samples of traditional chants from indigenous cultures (such as Central African Pygmies or the Inuit) with electronic, ambient, and new age sounds. Their debut album, Deep Forest (1992), sold over three million copies, establishing them as pioneers of electronic world music.
