What is being presented
«De tu palabra nace el ángel» is the debut poetry collection by Berta Pérez Martínez, winner of the 2026 Tino Barriuso Young Poetry Prize. La Rossa bookshop will host its presentation on Friday, 20 November at 19:00 at their venue on Calle Murta.
The book explores the poetry of small, simple things and serves as a manifesto in defence of the defenceless. It draws on both classical and contemporary lyrical voices, weaving love and language together to celebrate life. In its final deliberation, the Tino Barriuso prize jury described it as «a celebration of the relationship between love, intimacy, and language».
Who is taking part
The presentation of «De tu palabra nace el ángel» brings together the author, Berta Pérez Martínez, and poet Paula Escrig, who will introduce the author and lead a conversation about the book. This is a common format for literary presentations in bookshops: a dialogue between the author and the host, designed for those who follow young poetry and want to discover an award-winning debut firsthand.
Where it is taking place
La Rossa is an independent bookshop in Valencia, founded in 2015, which hosts literary presentations and events in its space on Calle Murta, 6.
