What is Creaviva and who creates it
Creaviva is a dance and flamenco performance created and performed by Rafaela Carrasco, winner of the 2023 National Dance Award. The piece explores the creative process from solitude and uncertainty to the materialisation of ideas through nine independent yet thematically linked choreographies. Carrasco bridges flamenco and traditional folklore, incorporating texts from Grecolatin culture about the Muses and their arts, adapted as sung coplas.
Programme and style
The performance is structured as a suite of nine choreographies with distinct compositional motifs, blending live singing and instrumentation with pre-recorded pieces. Five artists—dancers, singers (cantaores), and musicians—interpret a repertoire that fuses flamenco rhythms with national folk influences. The show closes the TEM’s autumn movement season and opens its 2026-2027 programme, according to official sources.
Timing and duration
The performance lasts approximately 75 minutes without an interval. The ticket includes access to the full show.
