What is Cool
Cool is a table-top puppet and object show exploring the climate emergency through humour, visual poetry, and absurdity. Designed for audiences aged 8 and up, the performance avoids moralising and instead builds an autonomous scenic universe where everyday situations become paradoxical. Through powerful imagery and metaphors, it reflects on our relationship with the planet, shifting seamlessly from the mundane to fantasy while maintaining a playful tone.
Who’s behind it
The dramaturgy and staging of Cool are by Clowntifics, a company specialising in puppet and object theatre with a scientific and social focus. Their approach combines direct manipulation techniques with visual resources to create an accessible language, using humour as a communication tool. While the cast isn’t specified, the production stands out for its ability to provoke immediate reflection through absurdity.
