What races does the Carrera por la Solidaridad 2026 include
The second edition of the Carrera por la Solidaridad features four categories for participants of all ages. At 9:00 AM, the 5 km competitive race kicks off, followed at 9:05 AM by the 5 km non-competitive walk and at 9:30 AM by the 2 km walk. From 10:20 AM, kids' races close the event with adapted distances: 1 km (under 14), 800 m (under 12), 600 m (under 10), 400 m (under 8), and 200 m (under 6). The route runs along Paseo de la Alameda, between the Puente de las Flores and Puente de Exposición.
How to take part and support the cause
Registrations are open until 5 November on the official website of Fundación Deportiva Municipal. The solidarity fee is €10 for the 5 km races, €5 for the 2 km walk, and €3 for the kids' races. Those unable to attend can contribute with a Dorsal 0 donation (from €5) or purchase the official T-shirt for €5.
70% of each registration fee goes to the participant’s chosen cause—ADHD, lung cancer, or multiple sclerosis—while the remaining 30% is split between the other two. The initiative, backed by Valencia City Council, aims to maximise fundraising impact by merging three previously separate solidarity races.
Schedule and duration
The event starts at 9:00 AM with the 5 km race and concludes after the kids' races, around 12:00 PM. The non-competitive walks have no time limit, but the 5 km race sets a maximum of 60 minutes to complete the route.
