What is Brujería and why their concert
Brujería is a supergroup of extreme metal founded in 1989 in Los Angeles by members of bands like Fear Factory, Faith No More, and Cynic. Their music blends grindcore, death metal, and hardcore, with satirical lyrics in Spanish tackling themes like politics, religion, and violence—always from a provocative angle. The band is famous for its transgressive aesthetic—masks, bandanas, and inverted religious symbols—and for intense live shows featuring aggressive sound and fast-paced rhythms. At Rock City, they’ll perform tracks from iconic albums like Matando Güeros (1993) and Pocho Aztlan (2016), alongside newer songs.
