What the conference covers
«Aplicando la IA para descifrar la vida: del Homo sapiens al Homo genius» examines how cutting-edge artificial intelligence helps decode the programming language of life and understand and modify the human genome. The talk outlines the foundations of this challenge and its philosophical, anthropological, and scientific implications, with a special focus on the new perspectives it opens for medicine.
Key topics include the engineering of life, gene editing with technologies like CRISPR, and the combination of predictive knowledge from machine learning with explanatory knowledge linked to explainable AI (XAI). The conference then addresses dilemmas that have accompanied humanity since its origins, such as immortality, genetic modification, and the future of our species, proposing the idea of a new Renaissance that could give rise to a new hominid: the Homo genius.
